ADM lays off ethanol workers as people drive less during pandemic

Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. said it’s laying off 180 workers at two of its plants in the Midwest.

The Chicago agricultural giant (NYSE: ADM) said that because people are driving far less during the Covid-19 crisis, the demand for ethanol used in the production of gasoline has fallen greatly.
