AEP’s financing plan for Ohio’s largest solar farm hits roadblock

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has blocked American Electric Power Co. Inc. from raising customers rates to finance what could be the state’s largest solar farm.

In a decision rendered Thursday, PUCO shot down AEP Ohio’s plan increase charges to customers so that it could underwrite two new solar farms in Highland County: the 300-megawatt Highland Solar Farm and the 100-megawatt Willowbrook Solar Farm.
