APS extends Arizona disconnection moratorium

Arizona power provider APS is extending its policy not to disconnect customers’ electricity or charge late fees for nonpayment through the end of 2020.

The policy, first put in place by APS in March as the Covid-19 pandemic began to take hold across the nation, applies to business and residential customers. Since that time, a statewide seasonal hold on disconnects during the hot months went into effect that was set to expire on Oct. 15.
