Saying they remain confused about their role in the potential sale of JEA, some City Council members say they are looking to circumvent the city’s Office of General Counsel and hire their own attorney.
In a Monday discussion about their role, the six council members pushed back on the idea of being presented with a done deal by the JEA board rather than being involved in the process.
