Business leaders push back against CPS rate advisory committee

Two of San Antonio’s largest business organizations have spoken out against creating a public committee that would advise CPS Energy on a pending rate increase.

Since CPS Energy’s board of trustees adopted a resolution in March directing the utility’s staff to develop the framework for a rate advisory committee, representatives for the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Manufacturers Association have called into board meetings to express their objections to such a committee.
