Casual Friday? Here’s how PG&E is planning to get power back online in the Bay Area

Workers and business owners in Bay Area power shutoff zones may not know until tomorrow how bright their Friday workday is likely to be.

PG&E (NYSE:PCG) is currently monitoring winds throughout the Bay Area and has no plans to turn power back on until it has inspected its vast network of power lines in the region.

“We have over 6,000 crew members in position to conduct patrols,” said PG&E spokesperson Melissa Subbotin, adding that 43 helicopters will also be used to patrol Bay Area power lines.…
