Colonial Pipeline says it’s returning to service after ransomware attack

Colonial Pipeline Co. said May 12 it is beginning to return to service, days after it halted most operations following a ransomware attack, leading to fuel shortages along the East Coast.

The company initiated the restart of pipeline operations at approximately 5 p.m., the company said in its May 12 statement.
