Controversial natural gas project touts GDP boost for Oregon

Gov. Kate Brown apparently wanted to know the economic impact of the controversial Jordan Cove pipeline and LNG export terminal project in terms of Oregon gross domestic product.

The developer has provided an answer.

“The Jordan Cove Project will add $1.87 billion annually to Oregon’s GDP over the course of its four-year construction,” Michael Dilger, president and CEO at project owner Pembina Pipeline Corp., said in a July 29 letter to Brown.
