Delta Air Lines will draw sustainable fuel from southwestern Minnesota Gevo plant

A plant in southwestern Minnesota will aid Delta Air Lines Inc. in its mission to significantly reduce its carbon emissions.

The Atlanta-based airline is betting that sustainable aviation fuel, made from plants or waste products, will help reduce its use on conventional petroleum products.

Such fuel can cut emissions from planes by up to 80%. Production levels are in their infancy, with only enough available on the market to support one day of Delta’s operations at pre-pandemic levels. However,…
