Denmark company blowing into South Texas with $360M wind farm

Denmark’s largest energy company proposed a $361 million wind farm in Zapata and Jim Hogg counties.

The Austin office of Danish company Orsted could start construction on a 100-turbine, 300-megawatt farm by the end of this year, according to documents posted Thursday on the Texas Comptroller’s website by Lincoln Clean Energy LLC. Lincoln, a Chicago company, changed its name to reflect its relationship with Orsted, which has been its parent for over a year.
