Duke Energy moving emergency crews from Florida to Carolinas for Hurricane Dorian

As Hurricane Dorian tracks northwestward towards the Carolinas’ coast, Duke Energy Corp. is beefing up emergency crews here to about 9,000 workers as it draws down the emergency crews stationed in Florida.

Duke has about 5,000 line and emergency workers normally in North and South Carolina. It is bringing in 4,000 more as the Category 2 storm approaches the states’ coastal regions with winds exceeding 100 miles per hour.
