Evergy will donate more than $2M for pandemic relief

Evergy Inc. is committing $2.2 million to help the community and customers respond to the coronavirus pandemic, the Kansas City-based utility company (NYSE: EVRG) said in a Tuesday release.

The aid will go to several sources:

Up to $1 million will go toward programs that help customers, including small businesses, pay their utility bills. Early in May, Evergy offered to match ever dollar of employee giving with two dollars to the same cause.
Grants totaling $800,000 will go toward economic recovery…
