Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM), which has a major presence in Houston, has reached a deal to sell its non-operated upstream assets in Norway for $4.5 billion.
The buyer is Norway-based Vår Energi AS, and the deal is expected to close by the end of the year, according to a Sept. 26 press release.
