Gas prices fall throughout Bay Area, but not enough to drop below $6 a gallon

After several weeks of price increases at the pump, gasoline prices throughout the Bay Area declined in the past week — but not quite enough to get below $6 a gallon.

In the the Bay Area’s three biggest cities, along with Salinas in the South Valley, San Francisco gas stations saw the biggest week-over-week decline while those in San Jose were delivering the cheapest gasoline, on average, according to an analysis by GasBuddy.
