Gas prices in the Kansas City area are 38 cents lower than a year ago, due largely to turmoil among two major petroleum producers.
Gas prices averaged $1.97 a gallon in the Kansas City area last week, according to GasBuddy. The price dropped 14.3 cents a gallon during the week, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 752 stations.
The average price of gas in the KC area is 12.1 cents lower than a month ago and 38.1 cents lower than a year ago.
