Gov. Brown gets $5M to implement emissions reduction program

The Legislature’s Emergency Board on Monday gave the Brown administration $5 million to implement a greenhouse gas emissions reduction plan — as yet unseen — for Oregon.

The move came four days after the Legislature shut down abruptly amid a Republican boycott to stop a cap and trade bill.

The board also earmarked more than $11 million for flood relief in Eastern Oregon, $5 million to respond to the coronavirus and $2.7 million to the Oregon Military Department for emergency preparedness.
