Group wants regulators to name Duke Energy in reported cybersecurity case

A national public interest group has petitioned federal regulators to confirm Duke Energy Corp. as the company that agreed to a record $10 million fine for cybersecurity violations, which regulators say could threaten the power grid.

Tyson Slocum, director of the energy program for Washington, D.C.-based Public Citizen Inc., filed the petition Tuesday morning with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
