Halliburton lays off another 384 workers in Texas

Houston-based oil field services giant Halliburton Co. (NYSE: HAL) has laid off 384 workers at the South San Antonio facility that oversees its Eagle Ford Shale operations.

Halliburton informed the Texas Workforce Commission on April 7 that it was laying off the workers immediately. The layoffs are expected to be permanent, according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act letter sent to the TWC.
