Hawaiian Electric announced Thursday that the company was awarded a regulated, tariff-based $638.5 million U.S. Defense Logistics Agency contract.
The 50-year contract allows Hawaiian Electric to own, operate and maintain the electric distribution system serving 12 U.S. Army installations on Oahu.
