Houston chemical co. director leaving board to focus on his own co.

A director at Houston-based Westlake Chemical Partners LP (NYSE: WLKP) tendered his resignation from the board on Oct. 11.

The former director, David Lumpkins, is leaving Westlake to focus on his own chemical company, Petrologistics II LLC, also based in Houston, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He’s going to remain on Westlake’s board until the company can appoint a successor, according to the filing.
