Houston energy co. to skip another interest payment

Houston-based EP Energy Corp. is letting another interest bill slide by unpaid, though it has a grace period before its creditor can put it into default.

EP Energy won’t be paying $7 million in interest on outstanding 2022 senior notes, the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Sept. 3.
