Ice storm leaves 270,000 without power in Oregon

Portland General Electric said that it is working to repair more than 1,200 downed power lines during an ice storm that left more than 235,000 customers without power Saturday morning.

Pacific Power had another 34,000 customers without power Saturday.

PGE tweeted around noon Saturday that it was trying to restore power within 48 hours but could not be more specific about a timeline.
