The JEA Board of Directors approved reducing the downtown headquarters by two floors at a special board meeting on Friday and will explore plans for a separate smaller building as well.
The modification reduces the headquarters from nine floors to seven, dropping he square footage from 196,900 square feet to 153,000. The reduction does not mean there will be a reduction in full time employees, however.
