Two new developments this week in the long-running fight over the Jordan Cove Project leave its future as uncertain as ever.
Pembina, the company behind the project, late Thursday withdrew an application for a removal-fill permit for the Coos Bay liquefied natural gas terminal and 229-mile pipeline leading to it. That came two days after the Department of State Lands said it wouldn’t give the project another extension on the long-lingering application and would make a decision on Jan. 31.
