Judge weighs Duke Energy assertion that solar company dispute belongs with regulators, not the courts

Duke Energy Progress’ effort to dismiss or stay a solar company’s breach of contract suit against it is now formally before Judge Adam Conrad after a court hearing this week.

The two-hour session showed Conrad focusing on whether the suit filed on behalf of six projects developed by Charlotte-based GreenGo Energy US belongs before his court or the N.C. Utilities Commission.
