Kinder Morgan starts up pipeline from Permian to Gulf Coast ahead of schedule

Houston-based Kinder Morgan Inc. (NYSE: KMI) put a pipeline into service Sept. 25 that should help ease gas flaring in West Texas by delivering natural gas from the Permian Basin to South Texas.

The Gulf Coast Express Pipeline was put into service ahead of schedule, the company said in a press release. The line will deliver gas from the Waha hub southwest of Midland to Agua Dulce, which is about 35 miles west of Corpus Christi.
