Local energy company receives formal NYSE delisting date

Common shares of San Antonio-based Pioneer Energy Services Corp. will be removed from the New York Stock Exchange on Sept. 9, weeks after the the company was suspended from the exchange.

Thursday’s notification of the formal delisting date was expected after the NYSE informed Pioneer on Aug. 14 that it was initiating delisting proceedings for the company due to an “abnormally low” trading price.
