Major Denver metro-area land swap clears way for renewable energy industrial park

Colorado, Jefferson County and the federal government are trading dozens of acres of undeveloped land in the western Denver metro area for nearby property that Gov. Jared Polis envisions becoming a renewable energy industrial park.

The land swap sets up Jefferson County, Lakewood and Golden to benefit from better access to South Table Mountain open space and recreational trails while creating a property next to the National Renewable Energy Lab that will become the Global Energy Park, or Glo Park.
