London-based BP PLC (NYSE: BP), which has its U.S. headquarters in Houston, announced May 28 that David C. Lawler will be the next chairman and president of BP America Inc.
Lawler is currently CEO of BPX Energy, the company’s Lower 48 division, which is based in Denver. He will retain that title when he succeeds Susan Dio on July 1, according to a press release.
Dio became the first woman appointed chair and president of BP America in 2018. She will retire after 36 years with the company.
