New JEA board meets for the first time, unanimously terminates interim CEO Melissa Dykes

The new JEA Board met for the first time Tuesday morning virtually — the last matter that the new board took up was to terminate interim CEO Melissa Dykes without cause.

The board appointed a new interim CEO for the time being, but will consider other options for the interim position at their next meeting. They also briefly discussed the recruitment process, but have not yet put out their Request for Proposals in the search.
