Fifty-two new drilling permits were approved between Nov. 1 and Nov. 7 by the Oil Conservation Division of the state’s Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department.
In total, 16 different companies were approved for drilling permits. Leading the way is Oklahoma-based Devon Energy Production Co. LP — a subsidiary of Devon Energy Corp. — which had 15 permits approved. Colorado-based Tap Rock Operating LLC — a subsidiary of Tap Rock Resources — had eight permits approved.
