New Mexico regulators settle with Texas-based oil and gas company for failure to report major release

The Oil Conservation Division of New Mexico’s Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department last week announced that it had agreed to a settlement with Enterprise Field Services LLC.

The settlement follows a notice of violation sent to Enterprise in June that said the company failed to submit proper documentation and give timely notice on the closure of the Oxy Sand Dunes North Compressor Station in Eddy County.

The $90,000 civil penalty is down from the $204,300 that state regulators gave…
