North Carolina logs another strong quarter for solar construction

North Carolina ranked third in the nation for new solar capacity added to its electric grid for the second quarter, finishing behind California and Florida, says the latest report from the Solar Energy Industries Association and Wood McKenzie.

North Carolina’s total for the quarter was 120 megawatts worth of new solar construction completed. That was well behind the 755 megawatts added in California and not so strong as the 175 new megawatts in Florida. But North Carolina remains in second place…
