PECO suspending service shutoffs, waiving late payment fees

PECO said Friday that it would suspend shutting off power and waive late payment fees through May 1 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Philadelphia-based energy provider is Pennsylvania’s largest electric and natural gas utility, providing power to more than 1.6 million customers and natural gas another 500,000 in the region.
