PG&E CEO talks wildfires, ‘leading with love’ and her hefty pay package

It was clear from the start that Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) CEO Patti Poppe’s public appearance last week in San Francisco was not your typical presentation by a Fortune 500 leader. 

Her introduction by moderator Greg Dalton, founder and host of Climate One at the Commonwealth Club, kicked off with a recitation of the utility’s transgressions, from the company’s fatal San Bruno pipeline explosion in 2010 to several deadly wildfires blamed on the company’s equipment.
