Plano environmental firm Blue Tide announces new hydrotreater at Baytown facility

Plano-based environmental company Blue Tide Environmental has reached a final investment decision to add a hydrotreater to its Baytown facility, a press release announced.

Adding a hydrotreater will allow the facility to become a full base oils recycling operation and process third-party vacuum gas oils into Group II+ base oils. The plant will produce up to 5,000 barrels per day and will offer the option to upgrade production to Group III base oils.
