Researchers estimate how ‘The Big One’ earthquake could hit electrical grid

Plenty of nightmare scenarios have been spun about the looming Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake — yes, it’s going to happen someday — but solid research on what it might do to the Western electricity grid is apparently scant.
