Ruling keeps wildfire lawsuit against PacifiCorp on course

A judge’s ruling this week keeps on track a class-action lawsuit against PacifiCorp stemming from last September’s wildfires.

The electric utility faces several suits alleging it was negligent in its maintenance and operation of power lines, and for failing to shut down power to reduce the fire risk in the face of hot, dry winds.
