Sierra Energy hires operations officer to bring technology to market

Davis-based Sierra Energy has hired a technology veteran as chief operations officer to help the company commercialize its FastOx gasification technology, which turns garbage into clean energy.

In July, Sierra Energy raised $33 million from an investor group led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures. Part of that investment was to be used to hire executives and engineers to bring Sierra Energy’s technology to market. The potential market is any jurisdiction that creates or manages garbage.
