The Sacramento Municipal Utility District may buy the Chili Bar Hydroelectric Project from PG&E for $10.4 million.
San Francisco-based Pacific Gas & Electric Co. over the past several years has been removing small and isolated hydroelectric projects from its system, according to a SMUD staff report.
