Spire cancels earnings call amid court decision on overcharging customers

St. Louis-based natural gas utility Spire Inc. scrapped its earnings call Wednesday following the conclusion of court case that didn’t go in its favor. 

The Missouri Western District Court of Appeals ruled on Tuesday that Spire improperly charged customers, and that it must pay at least $4 million in reimbursements. Spire cancelled its earnings call to “assess the impact,” the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Its stock dropped nearly 6% on Wednesday.
