SRP buying more energy from nuclear plant west of Phoenix

The Salt River Project is boosting its ownership share of energy produced at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station west of Phoenix.

SRP will spend about $70 million, plus the cost of the associated nuclear fuel inventory, to purchase in 2023 and 2024 a portion of the plant’s energy share owned by the Public Service Company of New Mexico.
