St. Louis could be on the hook in steam plant dispute

A legal dispute stemming back to 2019 flooding at the steam plant that provides power downtown could ensnare the city of St. Louis, court papers say.

In June that year, a force main sewer failed, flooding the plant and causing millions of dollars in damage. It’s located in the Near North Riverfront neighborhood and is owned by Ashley Energy LLC.
