The Port of Vancouver has seen impressive wind power components hit its docks, but nothing on the scale of what arrived this past weekend: 27 turbine blades each measuring 220 feet in length, the longest ever at the port.
The blades came from China, made by Goldwind, one of the world’s major wind power manufacturers. They’re bound for a project under construction in southern Saskatchewan, Canada.
