Two Brownsville LNG projects take steps forward

Two companies hoping to build liquefied natural gas plants at the Port of Brownsville received endorsements this week that push their projects forward.

On Tuesday, Annova LNG, which is majority owned by Exelon Corp. [NYSE: EXC], was granted a tax abatement by Cameron County. And on Wednesday, NextDecade Corp. received a vote of confidence from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which said the construction of that company’s Rio Grande LNG facility and adjoining pipeline is unlikely to harm the endangered…
