Two Houston companies’ Brownsville LNG projects take steps forward

Two Houston-based companies hoping to build liquefied natural gas plants at the Port of Brownsville in South Texas received endorsements this week that push their projects forward.

On Oct. 1, Houston-based Annova LNG, which is majority owned by Chicago-based Exelon Corp. (NYSE: EXC), was granted a tax abatement by Cameron County. And on Oct. 2, Houston-based NextDecade Corp.
