Update: Shelter-in-place for chemical fire near Houston lifted

Update April 2: The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office tweeted at 3:13 p.m. April 2 that the shelter-in-place order has been lifted.

John Foley, president and CEO of KMCO LLC released the following statement around 12:50 p.m.:

Meanwhile, Crosby ISD, Sheldon ISD, Channelview ISD and KIPP tweeted a little after 2 p.m. that they were no longer sheltering in place districtwide. The districts also are releasing students at normal dismissal times, though some are still canceling outdoor activities.…
