Arkansas-based Murphy Oil Corp. (NYSE: MUR) is closing its current headquarters and an office in Canada and will consolidate those operations into its office in Houston, where it will now be headquartered.
The decision to make Houston Murphy’s new headquarters and downsize the company’s corporate staff was attributed to “the extraordinary drop in crude oil prices,” according to a press release. Murphy is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company.
