Valero sues commodities trader for $10M

San Antonio-based Valero Energy Corp. is suing a commodities trader for $10 million, arguing that the trader failed to deliver promised renewable fuel credits.

Sundive Commodity Group LLC signed about 100 contracts promising to deliver the credits to Valero during the months of September, November and December 2020, according to a lawsuit filed in Harris County on New Years’ Eve. Valero said in its lawsuit that none of the promised credits materialized, forcing it to pay extra on the marketplace.…
