Volvo takes big step toward commercializing zero-emissions electric trucks

Greensboro-based Volvo Trucks has deployed its first pilot VNR Electric truck, a zero-emissions vehicle aimed at helping develop a blueprint for successfully  bringing battery-electric trucks to market at scale.

The truck is operating at Volvo Trucks North America TEC Equipment dealership in Fontana, California, transporting parts between the dealerships in Fontana and La Mirada.
